Mel Cote, CPM– Property Manager
Mel serves as a property manager for Simons Real Estate Group since January 2006. His direct responsibility is third party fee management under contract that includes office properties and special use facilities. His specific responsibilities are day-to-day management, service contract administration, budgeting, financial reporting and tenant relations.
Prior to joining Simons, Mel spent 34 years at Hartford Financial Services Group in the Corporate Real Estate Department in a variety of increasingly responsible positions including project management, leasing and property management for their investment portfolio and convenience properties.
Mr. Cote is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University in 1985 and Northern Maine Technical College in 1971. In addition, Mel received the Certified Property Manager (CPM) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) in 1992. He has been a past member of BOMA greater Hartford and the Connecticut chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors. He is currently chairman of the Simsbury Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. He is a licensed real estate salesman in the State of Connecticut.
